Then I realized my junior year in high school I really do enjoy writing papers. Mr. Shay my teacher let us write about whatever topic we wanted. All my years of writing none of my teachers have ever let us have the freedom of picking whatever we wanted. I was so excited. I knew right away I was going to write about my hobby of showing horses. I finally had the opportunity to show my strong feelings on paper of showing horses, and how it has changed my life in many ways. I realized when you love what your writing about the paper just flows. I am so glad I had that opportunity because it made me realize writing is not all that bad.

Experience
When my teachers in high school would tell our class that we had to write a paper about a previous book we had written that 99% of the time was a book none of us would pick out or about dress codes, drinking age, etc. I know a lot of us dreaded writing these papers especially research papers. I really think this is why I dread writing papers, and not only that sometimes even going to english class.

ReplyDeleteI'm really excited about you writing about your dad as a hero. I think this will give you an excellent opportunity to take a look at how your writing process changes when you set your own writing goals.
i agree logan, if im writing about something that has no meaning to me i seem to get lost and side tracked more often. I think that why i liked the lit snap assignment, i wrote mine on a personal experience i went through in highschool.

ReplyDeleteWell said. I agree with you totally. This was a great thing you pointed out. I feel the same way about this because I can write and write if it was something I wanted to write about. If I did not like the subject I would't really care or want to do it. I can put a hundred percent into something that works.
